Illinois Politics
Even under the disguise of supporting "small business," Jim Ryan won't get elected to the office of governor of Illinois in November.
GOP gubernatorial candidate Jim Ryan said Thursday he would not support a minimum wage increase in Illinois, saying it would compromise small businesses' ability to compete with neighboring states."We don't help working families in Illinois or working men and women if we damage the business climate," Ryan said during a press conference at Noonan True Value..."
And at $5.15 an hour, how do we help working families, Jim? Something tells me that Jim Ryan never had to worry about how to feed, clothe, and house his family on $5.15 an hour.
And in other sorta related news:
Um, Krissssssssss, hiring felons in the office of the Illinois secretary of state hasn't really been a major problem. The problem lies in how they become felons while working in the office of the secretary of state.
