The Big Ease Out

My boss is easing me out. He's not laying me off. He's not firing me. Instead, he's set the groundwork for my exit by lining up a possible job at his wife's office. Sometime this week I'll go for an interview.

His major client is being liquidated by the Illinois Department of Insurance. I think I may have mentioned this a couple times, so I won't go into the gory details now. We've known this was going to happen since January. In March he let his associate go. Shortly thereafter, the other secretary quit. He's been paying me out of his savings for the last month.

I'd rather find my own job. I'm looking, but it's slim pickings around here.

Anybody know anyone who needs a great legal secretary?
