The King's hair

... in a coffee jar. Starting tomorrow MastroNet is auctioning Elvis Presley's hair. According to their web site, this isn't the first time Elvis's hair has been sold, but it is the first time such a large quantity has come up for sale.
Part of the pitch:

... this offering presents not just an unprecedented and ideally well documented provenance, but an extraordinary quantity which offers an unlimited potential for marketing possibilities (possibilities that a few strands, even if available, simply would not offer.) The buyer is limited only by his or her imagination, but it is not hard to imagine rings or pendants marketed with strands of Elvis' hair incorporated into the design.

Ah yes, this is just what some jewelry designer somewhere has been waiting for.

My daughter tells me she has seen this hair, or something like it, on the Antiques Road Show.
