Monday Mission 0120

Doing the Promo Guy Monday Mission (Ver. 3.03) with renewed vigor:

1. Friday I wrote about "People I Can Do Without." How about adding to the list with a few people you can live without? Having read the list, I gotta say, not that much bothers me. Nothing to add at this time.

2. Have you ever felt like someone truly respected you? What does being respected mean to you personally? I can think of several people that respect me. The sad thing is, when you lose the respect of someone important to your life. It's hard to get that back.

3. In (past or current) relationships, what is the "one thing" your partner would change about you if they could? Hopefully, nothing.

4. Have you ever tried to change who you are to please someone? How did that turn out? Yes, big time. It turned out very poorly. We went down a road that should never have been traveled. I didn't realize it until just recently, but, by me trying to be someone I was not, set a course for doom for that relationship. Lesson learned.

5. Do you believe in love at first sight? Can it really happen? Question courtesy of Fadi. Well, thank you Fadi. Yes, I believe it is very possible.

6. Today is "Martin Luther King Jr. Day" in the United States. King's non-violent protests against unequal treatment of African-American people led to radical change in America, and ultimately, his assassination in 1968. How have Rev. King's accomplishments impacted or influenced your life? I think the impact of Martin Luther King's accomplishments are all around us. I know, however, we still have a long way to go in this country.

7. In America, our President declared yesterday to be "National Sanctity of Life Day." While it enacts no change in policy or program, it does allow our country's leader to make a declarative statement about abortion. How do you feel when you hear about a government taking a position such as this? He can talk all he wants. It's not his place.

BONUS: What will I do if you say we're through? You said it, not me.
