Friday Five 0131

This is just plain silliness. Doing the http://fridayfive.org/

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why? Superheros never really did anything for me, as a child, or as an adult. Probably because they didn't have a lot of superheros when I was growing up. My brother had a few comic books that probably featured superheros, but I never really got into those. As far as Saturday morning cartoons, there wasn't a lot to choose from in the superhero department. Tennessee Tuxedo, Bullwinkle & Rocky, and the Flintstones. Oh, and Underdog. In the non-animation department there was the original Superman series which was in re-runs well past George Reeves' untimely and unfortunate death. Superman was just okay as a superhero. But the creme-de-la-creme was the original Batman series with Adam West. Yeah, that would explain why, though I'm not necessarily enamored with superheros, I am totally obsessed with caped men in black tights. Not a lot of those running around these days. But, mmm mmm mmm. Oh, yeah. Gimmee...

2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got? A caped man in black tights.

3. What's the furthest from home you've been? Deepest darkest Canada.

4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet? So many things. If I had to say just one, though, it would be learning how to play something other than the theme to Wagon Train on the piano.

5. What are your plans for the weekend? ... break my legs just so I won't forget to be next to you.

Super secret message for AOL Time Warner: Hey, if you want your stocks to soar, release the original Batman series in its entirety on video. Now! Do it!
