Back in the saddle again

Being off work for three and a half weeks was totally wonderful. But, it's good to be back at work. That's not to say that I couldn't get used to a life of leisure. Maybe someday.

The only bad thing is having to be there at 8:00 a.m. It's hard, but doable. That anxiety is outweighed by the sense of relief of being out from under the pressures and deadlines that come with a hectic law office. I should have given it up a long time ago.

The people are really nice. All two of them.

So far, they've kept me really busy. Most of the work I've done is work my predecessor didn't finish. Much of it is menial. But that's okay. Really. Not so long ago, I might have put up a fuss over such tasks, but, not any more. It's like I've got this newfound serenity or something. I think I needed this for a long time.

The place is really off the beaten path. As in, it's no where near downtown. The obvious benefit there is, no more rushing out to move my car just as the traffic warden is finishing writing me a parking ticket. The thing I like best? It's a metal building. It's a warehouse. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd be so well suited to working in a metal building. There's more than one business in the building. The corner office is occupied by a crane and a bobcat, How cool is that!
