This is all just a little too suspicious. For two nights in a row, Dave Letterman is out sick. Dave is not feeling well, again, I guess.

John McEnroe is filling in for Dave tonight. Fortunately for John McEnroe, Tom Arnold is doing all the talking. Tom talks non-stop. He and his talking make me hyper. Last night Bruce Willis was the guest host.

Also suspiciously missing from the show is Paul Shaffer. The main guy from the B-52's is sitting in with the band, but not at the keyboards.

I'm concerned.

Wow. I had no idea Dave had been M.I.A. the past two nights. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll try to tune in tonight to see if he's back (I'm a huge Letterman fan).

Oh, and as for Tom Arnold, I'm fairly convinced after seeing him make several talk show appearances that he is, in fact, a meth addict. ;P

Hi Jeff! You may be right. He talked a lot about his rehab, but never really said anything about being clean now. He talked almost non-stop the whole time he was in the guest chair.

Hehe...And if I had to guess, he was probably very fidgety and kept playing with his nose... ;)

Did you ever find out what was wrong with Dave??? Friday night, Regis hosted, and he kept making jokes about having a bad eye. I assumed that had something to do with why Dave was out, but I never found out what he was alluding to.

Interesting. Monday night, and the show is a repeat. Would it be premature to go from concerned to suspicious?
