The things you find
I went looking for something. I didn't know exactly what it was I looking for. I didn't know what I would find. I didn't even know if I knew how to find what I was looking for especially since I didn't know exactly what it was I was looking for.
(My spacebar is suddenly squeaking here.) [/distraction]
But I had a feeling whatever it was I was looking for when and if I found it, it wouldn't be good.
I stumbled upon something. Accidentally? Perhaps. Anyway, I waded in. Slowly. Carefully. And I approached with caution. What is caution? Prepared to run and run fast, if need be, perhaps. I don't really know. Fortunately, I didn't have to find out.
What I found was a person holding court in a space suit and explaining things and being nice and being smart and sharing things and digging up the yard with an almost imperceptible touch of snide-ity.
I considered blurting out that I was there, but thought better of it as I caught myself. Best to just remain silent for now. I was greatly relieved. I breathed a sigh of relief as I watched from a safe distance and vowed to.... Well, I haven't quite decided.
