Heading willy nilly into the night

On the advice of the brainy Kristine, I downloaded and installed the free fullly functional trial version NewzCrawler. If you want to keep it beyond the 30 day trial, it's $24.95. Yeah, I think this might be a keeper. At this point, it looks like it'll only run on Windows. I tried a few others without a lot of success. This one's nice.

On the further advice of the brilliant Christine, I switched my index.rdf file from excerpt entriles to full entries. If you're running Movable Type, you can go to your index.rdf template and:

... change the description line from MTEntryExcerpt to MTEntryBody if you want to serve up full feeds.

I'll post more about this nifty little gem later. Once I figure out what I'm doing.

Edit after the fact. There were so many pings in this post, I timed out on several of them:

Weblogs.com timed out with a 500 error. But, I'm on their page anyway.

Wander-lust also timed out with a 500 error. Interesting, I usually get a general error for them, but not a 500. I figure that's because they're not using any RPCXML type protocol.

Blo.gs also timed out with a 500 error. And, I'm not on their page.

Kadyellebee also timed out with a 500 error. I tried to send it again (twice), but it failed. I figured I better stop just in case I'm spamming Kristine and don't realize it.
