Google as operating system

It seems I'm all over this web. Well, probably not really. But, often, I read something and later can't remember where. Some things are so impressive you just can't forget. Like the idea of Google creating an operating system.

First read the idea this morning in a thread about Google's new Compute Button in their Toolbar. Okay, I have to admit I haven't actually seen it since I'm not using the Toolbar.

Then, tonight, read more about it TechDirt: Google As A Knowledge Operating System and followed his link to Microdoc News: Google: A Knowledge Operating System.

None of this may make any sense in the morning since I'm on the verge of being totally wiped out now.

Tee hee, I just read the same TechDirt article and blogged about it before coming over here!! We must be on the same wavelength tonight!

Wow! That's all I can think to say. Wow!

I'm embarrassed to say that I've used Google (or at least cache) as a backup more than once. It's like the ring tossing scene in Harold and Maude: "I'll put it here so I'll always know where it is."

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Great movie, too.
