RSS validation and tweaks

I fixed a few things in my index.rdf file to make it validate. I realize nothing else here validates (CSS and HTML), but this is a start in the right direction. Basically, these are changes from old Movable Type xml templates to the new.

Removed completely:

<lastBuildDate><MTEntries lastn="1"><$MTEntryDate format="%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S"$><$MTBlogTimezone$>

<dc:date><MTEntries lastn="1"><$MTEntryDate format="%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S" language="en"$><$MTBlogTimezone$>

And, removed completely:

<pubDate><$MTDate format="%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S"$><$MTBlogTimezone$>

To feed full posts as opposed to excerpts, change the

tag to

To make extended entries appear in full in the news reader, as opposed to cutting off at the point of extension, I downloaded Timothy Appnel's plugin and uploaded it to my plugin directory.

In the index.rdf template, I changed the

tag to

on the description line.

See Kristine's MT Plugin Directory: MT-EntryBodyMore for a link to the plugin and more info.

There's also a feed for excerpts (index.xml), and it validates in case anyone is interested.

I hope I didn't get the xml and rdf files backwards. If so, arr.

I want to be able to post photos and not have the whole CSS and HTML thing load in the news reader. I don't know if any of these things will take care of that or not, since I haven't posted any photos since doing all this.
