Monday Mission 0526

Doing the PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.21. Fold.

1. What's the worst thing about Mondays?
-by Pinky

Facing the hard, cold, glaring realization that Friday night is such a long long long way away. Again.

2. Do you believe in soul mates? Have you met yours yet?
-by Karen

Yes, I believe. However, that doesn't mean I believe we always get to be with our soul mates, though.

3. What do you recall wanting to "be" when you were a child, dreams of what you'd do when you were an adult for work - who you'd live with... where you'd live... how many kids you'd have. How does the dreams you once had compare to your reality, same, much different? You have surpassed those dreams?
-by Desiree

I don't even remember what I wanted to be. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a secretary, though.

4. What do you think of education in your town/city? In your country? How would you improve it?
-by Dargie

As a parent, I know that the education my kids got was a joint effort between my kids, their teachers and me. I worked hard for their education. Their teachers worked hard. My kids worked hard. And I think it paid off.

As with so many organizations run by government, there is a lot of waste in public education. Our school district recently elected a lot of new board members, as opposed to re-electing old board members. I have great hope that they can turn some things around.

Oh, and one more thing. My youngest is going to graduate from high school in less than two weeks, and I am so glad it's over!!!

5. If you had to pick three songs to sum up your life what would they be and why?
-by Peachy

Only three? I have no fuckin' idea. Here's three songs, I identify with, though.

• Blue by Mick Jagger - if you knew me, you'd know
• Someone Like You by Rod Stewart - true story
• YOur Wild3est Dreams by The Moody Blues

6. Do you believe in love at first sight? Can it really happen?
-by Fadi

Love at first bite? Yes, definitely.

7. What's your greatest fear?
-by Kaila

Waking up and not knowing who I am.

BONUS: Have you forgotten? Forgot what?

I believe that sometimes people can't be with their soulmate in a romantic sense but end up being best friends instead.

I definitely agree, Denise.

Well, look at it this way. Between the Memorial Day holiday and your procrastination (wink) in posting your Monday Mission responses, it's already Hump Day™!!! We're halfway to that little slice of heaven known as Friday now, and I think we're actually going to make it...

(Addendum: I wrote this yesterday, but I was not able to post the comment due to our server meltdown. I thought I would post it this morning, anyway, although now it's even closer to Friday!!!)
