Ibid Illinois

I'm browsing the new Illinois state surplus auction web site. The state introduced this new service at the recent state fair. These items are not the usual junk you see when you go to the actual state auctions. Lots of cool things here. You can browse without registering, but they want your full name, address, phone, and credit card information before you can bid.

With that in mind, this is a sting in the making if I ever saw one: Tremner Scale 0 to 50 gram with carry case. I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling, or not. The current price is $25.00 after 11 bids. We actually had a scale like this in the first law office I worked in. My boss was a former state's attorney, and I do believe the scale had been confiscated in a drug bust back when prosecutors actually went on busts. Our scale looked a little more delicate and had more brass than this one.

They have 11 IBM computers, two Compaq laptops and one Compaq Deskpro in the computer section. I wonder who used these computers and if the hard drives (if any) have been sanitized. Bet not.

Holy smokes! They have a Hyperbaric Chamber. After three bids, the price is up to $11.00. Well, that is tempting.
