Mister Accordion

mr_accordion.jpg

Another recent shot from Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mr. Accordion passed away earlier this year, but he isn't buried here. Instead, his grave is at Camp Butler National Cemetery. In front of this monument is an above-ground burial vault. I heard that the decedent's accordion collection is burired in it. If that's true, as far as I'm aware, it's the only gravesite in Oak Ridge that contains something other than human remains.

I'm sure it's moving being present at the above-ground vault of Mr. Accordian. But I'm afraid from 800 miles away there is a humorous aspect - several, in fact - that is hard to resist. Jokes and barbs flit through my mind like so many moths at a candle. And Lincoln is buried nearby right?

Kem - Ya had to know I thinking similarly as I took these pictures. As to Lincoln, you are so right. See that tall white monument in the upper left hand corner? That's his grave.

Jeff - LOL! I mean ... ahem ... ... ... ;)
