Sweet home Chicago

This is not good news. The company that makes Fannie May and Fannie Farmer candies is rumored to be seriously considering bankruptcy and possibly closing operations next month. It sounds like the employees have vowed to fight tooth and nail to keep the company going and to keep their jobs. We still have one Fannie May store here in Springfield. I've probably only been there once in the last ten years.

In other Chicago news, yesterday (Dec. 30), was the 100th anniversary of the Iroquois Theatre fire. (A moment of silence.)

Seems like I remember Fanny Mae candies when i lived in St. Louis. That is really too bad, I thought they were great.

To whom it may concern I am looking for Kenneth Fonville. My family saw a clip of him on CLTV News. My family and I live in the Chicagland area and would like to know if we are related. Kenneth resembles my brother Robert Fonville and my deceased father Robert Fonville jr. Any information about him would be greatly appreciated.
Fannie Mae Candy Co. was his employer.
