Tudy, just hang in there. This Friday the temps are supposed to be in the middle 40's here.

Just a minute: The Illinois highway map shows four conditions: clear, patchy, snow and ice-covered ... and "tollway." When I lived back in those balmy climes, the tollway got hit with the same stuff all the other roads did. Have they put perma-salt on them? Or installed heavy-duty heating coils?

What gives?
