Sunny Sunday
The sun is shining brightly. Finally. And, even though it’s well below freezing, there’s a warmth in the air I haven’t felt for a long time. Even the cat seems to notice it. We’re sitting in the living room with the curtains open and just the storm door closed, the sun is streaming in, and it feels wonderful. Spring isn’t far off. Hope is in the air.
Now, if all this ice would just melt. Walking on ice is exhausting.

On a recent run I noticed that the cardinals and Carolina wrens were singing with much more enthusiasm. I thought the same thing as you.
