Word Perfect

Corel announced today the next version of WordPerfect will hit the shelves in April (CNet: Corel sets WordPerfect update).

Interesting /. article, WordPerfect Back From the Wilderness, wherein one of the posters, a lawyer, reveals he pays his secretary $25.00 an hour. Wow! That's good money for a legal secretary. At least, it would be around these parts. I wonder where they're located. Reading on, he reveals he charges $350.00 for his own time. Which begs the question: And, he's only paying his sectretary $25.00 an hour? Can I get a geesh?

Back on topic, as someone who has been using word processors for over 20 years, and WordPerfect for about 15 years, I have to say any WordPerfect version beats any other word processing product hands down. I would consider myself to be somewhat proficient in MS Word, but I'll take WordPerfect over that any day. When you're cranking out 200 to 300 pleadings and letters a week, scheduling hearings and depositions, answering the phone, taking dictation, dealing with a cranky boss, dealing with unruly clients, dealing with hapless courthouse personnel, dealing with demanding opposing counsel staff, filing, making trips to the courthouse, among other things, you don't have time to struggle with your word processor. WordPerfect makes word processing effortless.

Wordperfect's Reveal Codes is far superior to MS Word's paltry attempt. etc...
