Red Wing

Notice the Red Wing Harley inside the store.

One early morning while driving along the highway, there were Red-Winged Blackbirds atop every fencepost for about a mile.

I still remember the first time I saw red-winged blackbirds: Driving along the Illinois River outside Lacon (near Peoria) with my dad. There were crowds of them along the bank.
And another Red Wing (Minnesota) connection: My grandfather went to a seminary there back in the 1890s. And also, my dad spent a good part of the summer there with an aunt and uncle in 1932, the year my grandfather died.
