Go Johnny

I didn't think they made 'em like this any more: Johnny.

BBC Radio on Johnny B. Goode

Words to the song:

Way down Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode
Who never learned to read or write so well
But he could play a guitar just like ringing a bell

Go go
Go Johnny go go go
Go Johnny go go go
Go Johnny go go go
Go Johnny go go go
Go go Johnny B. Goode

He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack
Sat beneath the tree by the railroad track
The engineers could see him sitting in the shade
Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made
People passing by, they would stop and say
Oh my, how that little country boy could play

His mother told him, someday you will be a man
You will be the leader of a big old band
Many people coming from miles around
To hear you play your music when the sun goes down
And maybe someday your name will be in lights
Saying Johnny B. Goode tonight

Louie, Louie, Oooooohhhh noooo, we gotta go
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
Louie, Louie, Oooooohhhh baby, we gotta go

Lather, rinse, repeat. :)

Right before Lather, rinse, repeat should appear the words "[incoherent mumbling]"

Ben, I think "incoherent mumbling" didn't show up because it's actually an MT tag.

The complete (lyrics) version of Johnny B. Goode, performed live by Chuck Berry in England, includes
the reprise of Johnny B. Goode' and the lyrics are:

"She pulled all her money out of the Southern Trust.

And put her little body aboard a Greyhound Bus.

Leavin' Louisiana for the Golden West.

Down came tears of happiness.

Her own little son, named Johnny B. Goode', is makin' motion pictures out in Hollywood.

Go Go, Go Johnny Go Go Go!"

The live album also includes a rousing audience participation version of My Ding A Ling.
