A teacher [repost]

Just discovered a teacher’s blog (tmarie.blogspot.com):

Today I told my kids that meat is dead animals. 90% of them were absolutely astonished.

It’s difficult to know a whole lot about this person, except that she likes it that no one knows about her blog. She teaches third grade in Miami. She’s counting the days to the end of the school year. She’s considering other job options, including, “Something that involves sitting under a palm tree and picking at sand with a stick,” and “ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE TALKING TO CHILDREN.” I think it's safe to say she has little or no control over her class and she has little or no respect for her students. To say the least, she got the wrong class in the school in the wrong school district for her temperament. I feel sorry for her and for her class.

This could be some sort of bad joke. I doubt it. In any event, it’s definitely a case for being closely involved in your kids’ education if I ever saw one.
