From an e-mail sent to Sean from someone who has volunteered on the Barack Obama campaign explaining who Obama is and his current status as an unopposed candidate:

This, of course, makes all of us who support Obama happy. But not having a choice in an election is not good for the populace, nor for democracy in general.

I'm glad you pointed this out. Thanks. Obama is acting like he doesn't have an opponent by continuing to ignore our offers to debate. Jerry has much better manners than I do and would give a very good presentation if they debated, just as Jerry did in the Champaign debate with the Republican & Democrat primary candidates earlier this year. We will have a choice in this election and it is not good for the populace or democracy when a well-spoken, intelligent candidate's voice is ignored by the media and the other candidate.
