It rained here from the time I got home from work to just a short while ago. As a consequence thereof, the street is flooded. The city will send a pumper truck at 7:30 in the morning to pump out the water. The pumper truck actually causes more trouble than the flood in that it parks in both lanes causing traffic to back-up to the end of the street. Traffic is heavy at that time of the morning because there's a school on my block. Kids being unloaded by buses and cars love to play in the water. I'm always afraid one of the little tikes might get sucked up into the pumper truck. This is regular occurrence whenever it rains.
