5 things about the monster in my basement

  1. It's virtually silent
  2. It scares little kids
  3. It fascinates old men
  4. It contains no moving parts
  5. Unlike its modern day counterparts, it's not very efficient

Since I'm on a roll, five more things:

  1. It's all iron
  2. The instruction manual is printed on a 3 x 5 metal plate attached to the front
  3. It employs gravity to heat the house
  4. It was manufactured by the Round Oak Company in Dowagiac, Michigan
  5. Unlike its modern day counterparts, it will last forever (I think; I hope)
