On guns

There seems to be a little buzz today amongst the law abiding gun owner voting citizenry crowd that if John Kerry gets elected president, he will want to take away their guns.

It doesn't matter if he wants to take away their guns. It's a non-issue. Or maybe just a scare tactic.

As long as law abiding citizens own guns in this country, I'm here to tell ya, no one is going to take away their guns.

And, if someone comes by requesting or even demanding law abiding gun owners relinquish their guns, and they do so, well, then... I just don't want to say.

It IS a scare tactic, and a shameful one at that.

What do you think of Kerry keeping the draft issue looming out there after a draft bill just got stomped in the house?

The bill was introduced by a Democrat, and the only 2 votes it got were from Democrats; but Republicans want to steal your sons and daughters (more BS, as women aren't required to register anyway).

Not much scares me anymore. I should have said scare tactic produced and put forward by the NRA.

What I don't understand is the right to protect "guns"? I thought it was all about the right to "bear arms". To me that would include: bombs, missiles, chemical agents, biological agents, and even nuclear weapons on that list of "arms". Why is it that we can accept not having any of those "arms" but we cannot seem to part with our fully automatic assult riffles? Gotta kill those pesky deer with something...
