Feed dropped by Bloglines

Sometime today or last night, one of the blogs I subscribe to was removed from my list of Bloglines feeds. This is something I suspected happened before, but couldn't put my finger on it. I thought maybe I had inadvertently deleted a blog or two. But, now I'm sure I didn't. Why does this happen?

Thanks for your comment. We need to add an entry to the FAQ on that. Every night we go through all the feeds in the Bloglines system, and any feeds that no longer exist, are removed. We define that as any feed that has returned a 404 error for 3 straight days. Most likely this is what happened with your feed.

In addition, any feeds that redirect to other feeds are processed nightly. So if you're subscribed to two feeds and one of the feeds permanently redirects to the other feed, it'll look like the first subscription disappears when we process the redirection.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Mark. I thought it might be something along those lines. And, thanks for all you do with Bloglines and us. Bloglines is an amazing thing.
