Illinois blogging pundits
For those of us with an unquenchable thirst for politics, the Airbags division of Gapers Block has a partial, but excellent, roundup of Illinois blogger pundits (Or, should I say, Illinois pundit bloggers?) Most of the weblogs mentioned are part of my daily fix of must reads. There are a bunch more I read, including:
- Hiram Wurf, former candidate for DuPage County board on the Democratic ticket, and a very reasonable voice in Illinois politics.
- tins ::: Rick Klau's weblog. Based in Naperville, he comments on both politics and technology. He was the original ObamaBlog blogger.
- Daniel Vovak had a very short and unsuccessful stint as a candidate for Illinois senator on the Conservative ticket. He's more widely known as the "wigman." He's an excellent writer and oftentimes pours his heart out. Unfortunately, he doesn't really have a URL, but he does have a feed.
- Finally, the creme de la creme of Peoria punditry, he could give lessons to all of them in how not to tap dance around the issues, is Bill Dennis of Peoria Pundit (that's a temporary URL). I suspect that while Bill enjoys a reputation as somewhat of a bulldog, he's really just a kitty cat. (Sorry, Bill, for outing you on that.) Plus, he's done an excellent job of rallying and organizing the other Peoria bloggers.
