Going paperless
While this office will probably never go completely paperless, we'll soon begin the process of eliminating a ton of paper. Between my office and the attic, there are about 40 years of documents. I thought we’d start by scanning what comes in on a daily basis and working backwards from the files. I’m sure I’ll figure out much of what to do as I go along, but there’s one decision I’d like to make before starting: Whether to scan to PDF or Word documents.
If I sound like I don’t know what I’m talking about, I don’t. Fortunately, others do know what they’re talking about. I'm reading Converting to Paperless: A Trust and Estates Attorney's Perspective for some good ideas.
