Owl dreams and real life ducks

What does it mean when you dream of owls? I've been dreaming about owls for the last few nights.

Last night the male owl was on the ground trying to get my attention. He was making a lot of noise. Actually, in every dream he's been behaving like this. At first I was tempted to pick him up and play with him. Of course, owls aren't to be played with like one would play with a kitten. Until last night, I was oblivious as to what his squawking meant. I finally realized he was trying to direct my attention to a tree. There, about 15 feet up on the trunk, was his mate. She was in trouble. She was too high up to see the specifics of her situation.

There was more to last night's dream. But, the rest is not very clear. I think it may have taken place at my grandmother's house. She's been gone over 30 years. And, I'm afraid whatever I did to try and help the female may have done more harm than good. However, hope is not lost. I'm sure I'll get another chance.

Geez, having just read that, I can clearly see a case for Freud.

Anyway, I was reminded of the dream when I walked out the backdoor this morning. Right there on the patio were a pair of mallards. It was like they had been waiting for me. I didn't have time to see what their deal was since I was running late. The hen was obviously with child. Er, egg. Actually, it looked like she was carrying lots of eggs as she had a major waddle going on.

wow Ive been having very realistic dreams about owls for the past few nights as well.

In the most recent, I woke up in my room and looked out the window to see an owl and its (what I assumed to be) mate. One then spied me and flew over to perch on the roof of an adjacent room. It grew to over 15 times it's former size and looked directly at me. I was utterly terrified.
It then flew over to my window, which just as in real life, was open. It hovered above me, and I pulled my covers up. At that moment I became lucid and tried to fight back. I only succeded in falling out the window.

More happens, I just can't recall what it is.

I too had a dream last night about owls. There were nine of them (don't know why I counted them, and they were all in and around a huge oak tree in my neighbor's yard (neighbor in the dream) also, my husband was in our house (not our real house) at a window and one of the owls went to the window and ate out of his hand. At one point, there were owls all around me and they were eating from my hand and did not seem to be afraid of me at all. What do you make of this? It bothers me for some reason. I have very vivid dreams at times and they seem to be symbolic.

I had a dream about an owl family last night. This is the first time I have ever dreamed about owls. The strange thing is that the owls were black .There were two adults and 3 babies and for some reason they were relying on me to take care of them. I was carrying the babies everywhere I went. The adult owla vanished after a short time into the dream and was left to care for the babies.
What does this dream mean?
Thank you.
