The talk

Last night I had "the talk" with my mom and my brother about my mom's deteriorating physical and mental condition. I did the talking. They did the listening (I think). I must have done pretty good because my mom got totally upset and my brother declared that we don't have to rush into anything. And, of course, tonight everyone acted like I never said a word.

Tough stuff, Marie. Good for you for taking the initiative, though.

We are thinking about you. You have really been a champion for your Mother and we certainly appreciate all you (and your amazing girls) do for her. We are here if you need anything. Lots of Love, B&J

My heart really goes out to you, Marie, having had to go through similar things with my mother and brother earlier this year. Watching the deterioration is always hard. Just know you're making decisions in your mom's best interest. Good luck with the medical establishment; for me it was a mixed bag.
