Subliminally psychic internet photo of the day.

Where was this taken?
You've just reminded me of something I had been planning to do for over a month now.
I'll see if I can't get it posted in the next few days on my blog. Once you see it you'll know.

Once again, I like your photographic approach. You didn't just take a conventional photo of a fountain, instead you took something different. You seem to find something new what could have been the mundane.

Did I tell you how much I loved your photo of the glass of tea? Does that make me a fan, or weird?

That is really nice. Thank you.

It's the municipal fountains at 7th and Monroe. It was shot from the driveway between city hall and the library. For a little more perspective, that's the old post office in the upper right hand corner.

That looks refreshing. Did you jump in afterwards?

I pass by those fountains several times a week on my daily constitutional, and I had wondered from which perspective you could have taken that shot.

I finally concluded you didn't take it here in town - it was just too pretty (I'm not saying that to butter you up). I just kept seeing all the cement, and ugliness of the fountain area, but you found the beauty.

Using the trees (dark) as your background helped to bring out the frozen in time fountains of water. And of course the flowers bring out the color.

You also wisely left some "building" in the background to create an urban photo.

Nicely done.

You may have already noticed that my photos are a bit factual - I rarely find that "best" shot - but I do take my camera with me several times a week.

Actually, I take a camera with me every day, my cell phone camera. If I see something I like, I'll take a photo, and then study the shot later. If I like what I see I'll come back later with my higher resolution digital camera, and take a similar shot.

I plan to post some photos this weekend of many of the photos which I've taken over this last week.

Also, what with the 4th of July weekend at hand there will be many available photo-ops.
