Same time, same thing, different place

This is kind of amazing, or at least worth mentioning. jpmatth and I both shot photos of the same cloud last Sunday, but from two different locations about 25 miles apart. Going by his tags, it looks like he took his near Edinburg, and I took mine from Springfield. Both photos are on flickr:

We don't get a lot of these particular cloud formations here on the prairie. At least, not that I've noticed. It reminds me of the clouds that roll in off Lake Michigan just before a big storm. As far as I know, this cloud on Sunday didn't produce any rain.

EDIT to add links to two other views of the same cloud by jpmatth. Odd that when I looked at his other two photos a couple days ago, I didn't recognize the cloud. I did, however, when he posted it in black and white.
