Still on the turnip truck

We have not yet fallen off the turnip truck and, in fact, are still bouncing along with the wind to our backs and our legs dangling over the tailgate of the turnip truck.

Because we had to check when we heard that the chief executive chauffeur of the turnip truck either thought we had fallen off, or wanted to convince us we actually did fall off:

President Bush's choice of Homeland Security Adviser Frances Townsend to handle the Administration's internal inquiry into its flawed handling of Hurricane Katrina has drawn criticism from both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill. (Bush Katrina Probe Nominee Draws Flak Questions raised over Frances Townsend's role in Katrina failings.)

Excellent. The turnip truck mechanics are on the case.

Wikipedia has a page for Ms. Townsend, but it has been flagged for clean-up since August 2005.

EDITED to try and make me sound more clever. But not quick. Never quick.
