More Springfield bloggers than you can shake a stick at

I just updated the Springfield blogroll by adding 15 blogs. These were all discovered since my last update on June 30. That makes about 34, that I know of. A few already appear to be abandoned. But, still, that's pretty good considering a year ago there were only four or five.

I think we now have enough for meetup. How about, instead of the usual tavern venue, we all bring our microwave carts for a midnight coffin run at the 4th and Washington parking ramp. Just kidding. There will be no meetup.

Actually getting a group of local bloggers together might not be a half bad idea. Many of the popular ( well known ) authors get together on a fairly regular basis. It might be fun to put faces to names etc. Then again maybe a bunch of crazies would come out of the woodwork and ruin what could be a cool thing. I no longer count as a Springfield blog in the true sense though. I'd be considered an area blog ( if we are put things down to region only ) now - do to my recent move. Informal get togethers have been the spark for many a good idea in the past though. It's maybe worth a second thought.

Good thought, Iggy, but I think too many of the pseudonymous bloggers wish to stay anonymous. And, for the record, I totally respect that.
