Questions re Harriet Miers

Early Monday morning, President Bush announced his nomination of Harriet Miers as the next Supreme Court Justice. What do we know about her? Is this nomination just another in a long line of political paybacks from this administration? Can she do the job? Is the president just setting her up to be sacrificed so the Senate can reject her? If so, who else does he have in the pipeline? Should we be glad he didn't nominate Brownie?

NPR's Ken Rudin has a few questions and answers in Q&A: Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

The SCOTUSBlog has a Blog Round-Up of other blogs discussing this nomination.
