Pop-up ads in blogspot blogs?

A little while ago, I loaded a local blogspot a/k/a blogger blog. I was dismayed to see an ad prominently displayed in the middle of the page. My browser is Firefox Beta 2. I took a screenshot, but neglected to check the source code. This is a random occurrence, because I also checked it in both Explorer and Opera, and again later in Firefox, and the ad wasn't there.

I wanted to ask the author what he knows about this, but couldn't locate any contact information.

Obviously, I don't have any evidence, but I believe this is a function of blogspot and not the blog author. Ugh.

EDIT the next morning: See the comment below by jenett, who identified the Bravenet poll as the culprit. Pathetic.

And, I apologize to blogspot for even thinking it might bestow such evil upon the masses.

I located the page and viewed the source. The Bravenet poll launches pop-unders after you close the results window. I didn't get that ad I see in your screenshot, but each time I went through it, a different pop-under was served up. My guess is that Bravenet is the culprit. (also checked a bunch of other blogspot pages and got no ads)
