Alito Shuffle?

Early Monday morning, the president announced Samuel A. Alito, Jr., as next on his list for the Supreme Court, his previous choice having been delisted.

Since then, I can't get the song, Lido Shuffle, by Boz Scaggs out of my mind.

Lido missed the boat that day he left the shack. But that was all he missed and he ain't comin' back.
[...]
Lido be runnin', havin' great big fun, until he got the note. Sayin' toe the line or blow, and that was all she wrote.

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

UPDATE a couple hours later: Commenter Dan suggests: "I'm sure it won't be long before there are parody lyrics for the Alito Shuffle."

American Comedy Network is already on it (Windows Media link on the right). It starts:

Alito is the latest guy that George Bush picked. They're hoping he does better than that Meirs chick.

Just excellent!

I'm sure it won't be long before there are parody lyrics for the Alito Shuffle. Weird Al is probably sharpening his pencil at this very moment.
