Five things about Wikipedia
- I have never edited or contributed to Wikipedia, although I've been tempted
- My youngest daughter has used Wikipedia more than once to research topics for school
- One of Wikipedia's pages links to one of my blog entries
- There are eight pages in my Wikipedia watch list (five people, four dead and one living; two places; one concept)
- When I see vandalism on a Wikipedia page, I go temporarily insane until I remember it's the internet

I love Wikipedia and use it frequently. I once found a date error in an article and corrected it. Does that count as a contribution? I will say that if I were a teacher, I would never allow anything from Wikipedia to be counted as a reference. I almost think I would prohibit web references altogether on research papers.

I explore it now and again but for amusement only.
