Is your e-mail subject to spying

Bruce Schneier has recounted a theory whereby one can test whether or not the NSA is spying on one's e-mail (Is the NSA Reading Your E-Mail?). This test involves setting up two other e-mail personas and, thus, only determines if those personas are being spied upon.

Some modifications would have to be made to find out if the NSA is spying on your real e-mail. I don't recommend this unless you want to invite major trouble.

yeah, boingboing posted this too. If you examine it closely, it's more like "How to get the NSA to pay attention to you."

The one thing the NSA should be is alert. If they can read email all day and stay alert, I tip my cap to them.

Ben, you said it, exactly. I was surprised Schneier posted this without deeper analysis.
