Herndon's Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln and William Herndon were law partners in Springfield, Illinois. This is a shot of their office at Sixth and Adams in downtown Springfield.

The University of Illinois Press is releasing a new edition of Herndon's Lincoln in July, 2006. First published in 1889, it was originally titled, Herndon's Lincoln: The True Story of a Great Life.

This new first edition is being edited by Douglas L. Wilson and Rodney O. Davis, of the Lincoln Studies Center at Knox College. They also co-edited, Herndon's Informants.

Amazon is taking pre-orders at the non-discounted price of $35.00.
