Tornado April 2, 2006: We were spared

For the most part. Others didn't do so well. See The 26th Man, who was at work when the sirens sounded, for more info on the damages and links.

It's going to be a difficult job to figure out the damage from this storm since so much of damage from the previous tornado has yet to be repaired.

For so many years in the past, we usually get several tornado watches, a couple tornado warnings, and maybe one sounding of the sirens. Usually, in May or June. And, then that's it. We can let our hair down. We can breathe again. We can be complacent again. I have a feeling this tornado season is going to be much different.

I don't know how many more of these we can take.

Anyway, all is quiet. For now.

Thanks for the live minute to minute update. Having gone through the hurricanes, I know how upsetting the storms can be. Sounds like it's a bit of a mess but I'm sure it will get cleaned up faster then down here. We are still cleaning up from hurricanes from two years ago.
