Five things I'm thinking about
- This afternoon I sent an e-mail from Gmail to someone at our local community college. A second or two later, the e-mail came back with a notation that Gmail had been blacklisted by the college. I'm a little disturbed.
- I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Tom Dreesen is wholesome. I just found out he's from Harvey, Illinois. That could explain why. He was just on Letterman.
- I wonder if it could be true that Abraham Lincoln "was the only U.S. president ever to get a patent."
- The pocket watch works and works well.
- I feel like I might be on the verge of a breakthrough. What it is, or why, or how, I don't know. I just have a feeling.

Marie,
Yes, my cousin is the only US President to ever get a US Patent. He got it for a poontoon contraption to float boats off of river shoals and it worked.
Abraham Lincoln
President Lincoln's 3rd cousin, 3 times removed.
