Five thoughts on a Monday night

  1. I know why people disable the dome lights in their cars.
  2. This may not have been the best day to have a raccoon crisis, since it was the first day of the new smoking ban. Probably everyone from county was out chasing down insurgent smokers all day.
  3. I ate no Doritos from 1972 to 2002.
  4. Every moment of my life has been a demonstration in perfect restraint. Of not buying a leather bomber jacket. I wonder how much longer I can hang on.
  5. My spinach eating career is o_ver.

1. OK, why?
2. Pass
3. What happened in 2002?
4. Is it the leather part or the bomber part that's offensive?
5. Oh yeah.

1. Well, they think it's cool to appear as though they have something to hide.
4. Is that what it sounds like? Neither is offensive. The leather bomber jacket is something I've lusted after since forever.

4. What kind of car do drive? You can't drive just any old car with that kind of jacket on. A Crown Victoria would probably work or a Lexus SC430. A Cavalier woudn't work. Neither would a Chevette if any are still around. Or you could buy a plane. Maybe you could take up cropdusting. That would be cool.

Well, in my mind I don't actually drive. Instead, I have a Marathon and a driver. That's probably too over the top for a leather bomber jacket. Any crop dusting I'd do would have to be from the side of the road. That might work.

OK Marie, you stumped me. In this context I don't know what a Marathon is.

Think of an old Checker cab:

Only mine wouldn't be yellow. I don't know what color I want mine to be. I've seen the black and white checked Marathon, which is sort of cool, but insane. I think I"d just like a plain black one.
