The Barack Obama voice

One character trait I like about Barack Obama is his tone of voice. He's not a politician that stands at a podium bellowing in an accusatory voice. That's something I've grown so tired of from both parties in the last six years. If he does that, I've missed it.

The Washingtonian recently published a lengthy profile of Barack Obama by Garrett M. Graff: The Legend of Barack Obama (may cause pop-ups). I don't know how long they keep their articles on line, but I hope it's forever. Anyway, Graff mentions the voice this way:

Obama's 2004 keynote address at the Democratic convention, delivered in his sonorous baritone voice, transformed him into a rock star - or at least the hottest thing in the Democratic Party....

Maybe it's the "sonorous baritone voice" I like so much. I don't know. The article's a good read. Bookmarking for future reference.
