Covering the Obama announcement
Following up on our call to bloggers who might attend the Barack Obama announcement this Saturday morning at the Old State Capitol Building, this is what we know so far:
- shoo has expressed some mild curiosity.
- Dave Heinzel and his wife are going to bundle up the kids and be there with telephoto lens.
- Last I heard, Allie is planning on going.
Since we won't be there our ownself, if anyone wants to call us from their cell phone, we'll be more than happy to post live updates to your blog or here.
On the bigger media side,
- Rich Miller of the Capitol Fax will be live blogging for The Hotline Blog before, during, and after, with possible cross-posts to the Capitol Fax Blog. Also, his dad will be in town with the Obamallac.
- Finally, on the mainstream media side, WMAY AM 970 radio will be broadcasting the event on both the radio and the web, and taking calls afterwards.
Gates open at 9:00 a.m.; announcement at 10:00 a.m. (Central).

Me and JP are going together. He's taking a camera. I'm just going to bundle up and watch.
