A near brush with the Blues Brothers

Since both Dave and Blevins are talking about John Belushi on the 25th anniversary of his death, here's this.

Phone rings. Four o'clock on a Saturday morning.

Hello?
I'm partying with the Blues Brothers. Do you want to join us?
No.

Phone rings. Four thirty.

I'm at Treasure Island with the Blues Brothers. Can you make hamburgers?
No.

Five o'clock.

We're going for burgers at Redamax. Do you want to come?
No

Jimmy T. He was someone who lived around the corner from me who was somewhat acquainted with someone who knew them. And, yes, this was way before cell phones.

I drove by his grave last summer in Martha's Vineyard. Does that count?

Grant Miller, Esq., yes, it definitely counts.

Dave, that crowd had a reputation for drinking and drugging hard. No regrets for that.

I met him. I went to see him at Second City with his brother and some other Wheaton high school friends. He seemed rather crabby to me, that's all I remember about him.
