There never fails to be staples

stapler.jpg This is my stapler. Notice the somewhat modified design. Not only is it the most efficient stapler I have ever used, it is the least physically stressful of the non-automatic models.

It has one minor design flaw. The compartment where the staples go is not long enough for a full strip. Therefore, I always have to break off about 3/4 of an inch before loading. There are lots of little chunks of staple strips floating around in my drawer.

There is one more thing. And, it's more of an embarrassment than anything else. The noise. Due to what I believe to be a lack of internal shock absorption, this stapler makes a noise that is loud and very sharp. It sounds like a gun shot. Of course, it's only embarrassing for me as no one else seems to notice. Anyway, it seems as though the shock goes back into the machine or the desk, because it certainly doesn't go into my hand.
