Tax rebate check survey

The State Journal Register used my suggestion, with some editing, for today's click poll:

If you receive a tax rebate check from the government, what will you do with it?
    • Spend it immediately.
    • Save it.
    • Pay off debt.
    • Other.

Take the poll at the SJ-R. Thanks, Jason.

Other. I want to use it to max out my IRA funding this year, but La Angela wants to go to Tennessee and see my family.

I think most people will use it to shop, and just spend it right away in some form. I guess that helps stimulate the economy some, but really - I just wish the government would keep the money and work on that deficit.

Ditto to what Christine says.

I'd donate mine to the Bush Mineshaft National Memorial and Presidential Library. Whenever they get around to that.

The idiots running this country need a reality check when it comes to how much money most people make & how hard the price of gasoline is affecting and ruining the lives of ordinary people who actually work their butts off for the little bit of money they get paid. You have to be a total morone to think that $600 is going to change anyone's life. What will it buy you 11 or 12 tanks of gas so you can drive to work for a few months??? Whoppee!
