Flash flood

In case you've never seen a flash flood in action, that's it. My daughter, Laura, took these photos at 7:00 this morning in Rochester, Illinois.
Edit to add: SJ-R - Area officials watch Sangamon River levels

Awesome. And more than a little frightening.

Oh man! In Terre Haute many neighborhoods are being evacuated by boat and schoolbus. My folks got a reverse 911 call to go up to the highest level of the house - but they are in a dry area.

Laura said that on one street, a bunch of people were trying to get their cars out of their driveways, but it was already too late.
Rob, I imagine you've probably seen a few flash floods and worse in your neck of the woods.
Henny Penny, Good for your parents. And good luck to the folks in Terre Haute.
