Obama-Biden in Springfield event
Some random photos from Saturday's speech:
- Excellent close-up of Obama
- Obama working the crowd (check the kids)
- Biden working the crowd (Allie painted the Military Families for Obama sign)
- Someone spotted the Obamalac (we love that car)
Jerome Prophet got some photos beforehand. We're waiting for more photos from during and after.
Will Reynolds got some great photos, too. Even more.
The State Journal-Register made a cool time lapse video of the crowd coming and going for the Barack Obama and Joe Biden event on the square yesterday:
- Time Lapse (via with more photos)
Memo to the City of Springfield: Whoa on the downtown trees. Trim them. It shouldn't look like a forest.

Wow, those are great shots. I can't recall a presidential candidate coming to a place near me. (Though my older son went to an Obama rally down in College Park in January.)
